Microsoft kicks off Build 2014 conference for developers

Microsoft’s annual Build conference for developers launches today in San Fransisco. For the rest of the week, Microsoft will be presenting a variety of product updates to a large audience of press, partners and developers. These will most likely include the leaked Windows 8.1 update as well as changes to Windows Phone, Office, developer tools and cloud innovation.

The keynote from day one will of most interest to consumers, as it addresses the future of Windows. With steadily declining PC sales and a mobile OS that is struggling to compete with iOS and Android, Microsoft’s new CEO Satya Nadella has much ground to recover with whatever innovations the company plans to unveil.
